Dr. Mendonça is a board-certified clinical specialist in pediatric physical therapy. She completed residency training at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) and was on staff as an outpatient physical therapist from 2016 to 2022. During her time at CHLA, she also acquired extensive clinical experience in pediatric inpatient acute rehabilitation. She has conducted research in cross-cultural validity of pediatric assessments and has published and forthcoming manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals. She has presented at various regional and national workshops on the topic of cross-cultural effects on infant motor development. She is adjunct faculty at the University of Southern California, and taught in the neuropathology curriculum. She serves as a member of the Specialization Academy of Content Experts at the American Physical Therapy Association. After developing an interest in the interplay between breastfeeding and motor development through her experience as a first time parent, she obtained training in lactation and breastfeeding counseling and hopes to utilize this knowledge and skill set to support her clients and families more holistically. Dr. Tabloei is one of a handful of physical therapists in the United States with formal training in both neurologic and orthopaedic rehabilitation. He held the position of staff therapist at Kaiser Permanente until 2022, during which time he established the outpatient neurologic rehabilitation program. He has been a consultant to small and medium-sized medical practices looking to partner with rehabilitation professionals. In addition to his clinical practice, he is a residency and fellowship credentialing site reviewer for the American Physical Therapy Association, as well as a consultant to several technology companies working in the field of rehabilitation software development.
